The Best bodies in the business:

The moment you've been waiting for. These are the money pages. You can find ready information and credentials on these folks on the net. They represent the best in the business, a who's who on our topic. I got you everybody but Todd Collart. I'd be glad to facilitate communication with any of these. I think you'd be wise to keep each of these appraised of project evolution. It would keep lines open for future interaction.

Ralph LaBarge
Ralph LaBarge's AlphaDVD
Ralph was the first top-jock I established communication with. He was really helpful in determining solutions. He was first to point out that MX04 isn't the best way to go, for our requirements it's the only way to go. By reports, Ralph only works on project that he has an interest in. He's been in the game since day one and is recognized as being one of the top three experts worldwide.

Blaine Graboyes
Media Architect, Studio Cognito
Blaine founded Zuma and has been a central figure in this space since it's inception. He was part of the MX04 beta dev team but doesn't do any hands-on anymore, He uses Trust Online and Connected Media for production. He's just finished shooting his own indie docu, "27 Miles" which explores youth rock culture in Malibu.

Steve Mendel
Rubius
Steve has been in the game for a long time. He's hip deep in technology but says that the focus of DVD production is shifting "right back where it should be", the design experience (marketing). Technical solutions should be 20% of the budget or less in his opinion. He's quick to point out that with our requirements set, R&D might seriously impact project cost, particularly with a multilayer disk solution. He's also open for business, has extensive media production capability and would be a high powered resource.

The Richard Diercks Company
Diercks is one of the founding fathers of this craft. He was kind enough to allow some extended conversations with his production folks who affirmed our whole approach to date, the theoretical separation of DVD-V and ROM product, the ability to accommodate set-top and computer play with the same video_ts folder with Director, the view that it would be madness to try layered solutions at this time, the fact that Director is about the only game in town for ROM and the feeling that pursuing deeper solutions such as O/O would be prohibitively stupid. His shop has methods to play DVD content through ROM consisting of a button in the ROM play which calls locally installed DVD software which spawns in the foreground and plays content. It uses a standard video_ts. It's built in Director.
